SANATA ADANMIŞLIKTA SALVENTIUS GİBİ OLUN!

BE LIKE SALVENTIUS IN DEVOTION TO ART!

Günümüzde, güzel sanatlar okuyan öğrencilerin yolunu belirleme ve ilerleme yolculuğunda kendilerine ilham verecek idol figürlere ulaşması zor olabiliyor. Ancak, ülkemizde sanata verilen destek ve alan açma çabaları sayesinde bu yolculuk daha erişilebilir hale geliyor. Sanata destek veren ve sosyal sorumluluk adına adımlar atan birçok proje bulunuyor. Bu projeler, genç sanatçılara mentorluk etmek, onları cesaretlendirmek ve ilham vermek için tasarlanıyor.

Nowadays, it can be challenging for the students of the fine arts to find inspiring figures to guide them on their path of defining and advancing their artistic journey. However, thanks to the efforts to support and promote art in our country, this journey is becoming more accessible. There are many projects aimed at supporting art and taking steps for social responsibility. These project are designed to mentor, encourage and inspire young artists.

Örneğin, geçtiğimiz günlerde Nişantaşı Üniversitesi Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesi'nde gerçekleştirdiğimiz Temel Sanat ve Tasarım 2 dersi öğrencileriyle yaptığımız etkinlik de bunlardan bir tanesi. Ayrıca, sanatın gücünü anlamak ve toplumsal etkisini artırmak isteyen herkes için birer ışık kaynağı niteliğinde olabilecek bir workshop düzenledik. Bu workshop'ta, öğrencilere Momentalizm akımından etkilenerek birer sanat eseri çizmelerini istedik. Her bir eser, cesaretleri ve özgünlükleriyle dolu, dünyaya kendi benzersiz bakış açısını yansıtıyor.

As an example, we have organized an event with the students of Basic Art and Design 2 course at Nişantaşı University Faculty of Art and Design. We also held a workshop that could serve as a source of inspiration for anyone seeking to understand the power of art and increase it’s social impact. In this workshop, we asked students to create artworks influenced by the Momentalism movement. Each piece reflects their courage and originality, presenting their unique perspectives to the world.

Daha önce kaleme aldığım "Geleceğe Işık Tutan Gençlerin Sanat Eserleriyle Tanışmaya Hazır Mısınız?" ve "Sanatta Anı Yakalamanın Sırrı: Momentalizm" başlıklı makalelerimi okuyanlar bilir, bu yazıda da bahsettiğim konuların devamını bulacaklar. Workshop'un ardından, Momentalizm akımının öncüsü sanatçı Salventius, geleceğin genç nesil sanatçılarının çizimlerini yorumlayarak her sanatçı adayına sanat yolculuklarında ilham ve mentorluk edebilecek fikirler verdi. Salventius’un yorumları ve öğrencilere verdiği destek sanat dünyasında güzel bir örnek niteliğindedir.

This article can be a follow-up on my previous two articles 'Are You Ready to Meet the Artworks of the Youth Lighting Up the Future?' and 'The Secret to Capturing Moments in Art: Momentalism.' As an update, the pioneer artist of the Momentalism movement, Salventius, provided insights and mentorship for each aspiring artist by interpreting the drawings of young artists and offering inspiring suggestions for their artistic journeys. These comments, this act of support can be served as an example in the art world.

Salventius’a geçtiğimiz günlerde, sosyal sorumluluk projelerine destek veriyor musunuz diye sorduğumda, bana şöyle bir cevap vermişti:

"Bunu bir sanatçı olarak değil, bir insan olarak yapıyorum. Bence sanatın güzelliği, insanları onun hakikat olduğuna inanmaya zorlamamasıdır. Yalnızca insanlarla yankılandığında iletişim kurar. Bu yüzden sosyal medya platformlarımı, bir haber kaynağı veya alıştığımız siyaset anlayışına hizmet eden bir araç olarak görmüyorum. Benim işimin kendisi, nasıl iyi bir insan olunabileceğine dair bir arayıştır. Ve bu yolculuğun insanlar arasında daha sosyal ve sağlıklı bir bağ oluşmasına katkı sağlamasını umuyorum."

When I recently asked Salventius if he has supported any social responsibility projects, he responded with the following:

I do, but not as an artist, but as a human being. I think the beauty of art is that it is not forcing people to believe it is the truth. It only communicates when it resonates with people. Therefore I see my social channels not as something that bring the news, or politics as we know it. My work itself is a search for how to be a good human being. And I hope that this journey contributes to a more social and healthy connection between people.

Salventius’un genç yeteneklere, kendi yaratıcılık yolculuklarında başarılı olmaları için verdiği öneriler de şöyle:

"Her gün bir şeyler yaratın. Her gün bir şaheser ortaya çıkmayabilir ama tarzınızı bulmayı öğreneceksiniz. Çalışmanızı görecek insanları düşünmeye çalışmayın, sadece çalışmanızı yaratmanın keyfini bulun. Sevdiğiniz şeyi yaptığınızda daha uzun süre dayanırsınız ve bu, aynı zamanda işinize de yansır! Salventius also provided the following recommendations to young talents to succeed in their creative journeys:

Create something every day. Not every day will be a masterpiece but you will learn to find your style. Don’t try to think of the people that will see your work, just find the joy in creating your work. When doing what you love you will last longer, and it will also show within your work! It is like a hidden layer that people maybe won’t see, but do feel!
